We’re excited to welcome Donald Tracy, Interim Dean of Continuing Education at Austin Community College (ACC), to speak to our group. Join us to learn how ACC is by offering courses to help job seekers sharpen their skills and keep up with workforce demands. Don will provide insights regarding tools, resources, credentials, and certifications job seekers could possess to ensure marketability within today’s ever-changing employment landscape. As a workforce education professional with substantial program administration and project management experience, Don has a solid track record of directing strategic initiatives and influencing public policy issues in the areas of education, entrepreneurship and economic development.

About Our Presenter
Don Tracy has been with ACC for close to 15 years and currently serves as Interim Dean of Continuing Education. Don excels in building partnerships within Central Texas through various leadership roles, including membership and past presidency on the National Council for Continuing Education & Training (NCCET) Board of Directors, membership and past chair roles with the Austin/Travis County Reentry Roundtable, and membership on the Talent Development Council for the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Don currently serves as Chair of the Capital Area Economic Development District Board with Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) and as an Advisory Board Member of the Education Institute within the Texas State University College of Education. He previously held positions with Texas Workforce Commission’s Adult Education & Literacy Advocacy Committee, the United Way of Williamson County’s Board of Directors, and Cedar Park City Council.

Don is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Adult, Professional & Community Education from Texas State University (expected in August 2025). He possesses a diverse educational background including a Master of Arts in Russian Area Studies from Georgetown University, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University, and a Human Resource Management Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin.
